That my friend, is an incredible eleven minutes of video, you did a cracker jack job on that, take two atta boys outta petty cash for a job well done.

I think I even saw a shot of the cafe in Adrian Texas and the Bus station in Shamrock also.

What is the parking like there in Blytheville?  You have room for bus'es?

Great Job!

Thanks, I employed the help of my 14 year old son. I'll never know the stuff he already knows about computers ! Yes yes yes The town of Blytheville is rolling out the bus-nut red carpet for this event! They are closing as many downtown streets (near the restored depot) for bus parking as needed. So tell your buddies and make plans. This will be a good one! A truly unique bus event. Take care

  • Nope, not my bus.
That must have taken a lot of work, Tom - thanks for sharing.  Especially liked the PA Turnpike shots.

OK Tom, no fair.  That fantastic video puts the show on the must do list - fuel costs be damned!!! ;D ;D ;D

I assume you will be publishing a registration form in the near future.

I tried loading one of the websites from the video (ghostsoftheraod.com) and it does not seem to be a correct link.

Thanks for the video and the great choice in music.  I gotta say that the Scenicruisers are wonderful but it's the 4104's that get my heart beat up a notch.

Thanks to all who commented on my Blytheville event video. I did goof up a bit....one of the website links was incorrect on the video. The link should read: http://www.ghostsofthehighway.com/
  The other was ok http://tomsgarageonline.com/

No registration or fees needed, just drop me a line and let me know you are coming and we'll save you a prime spot. Hope to meet many of you in Blytheville.

Tom, we will put this event on our top priority list.

I did a quick look on Google Maps and it looks like a really small town.  That said, it has two airports  - one was a SAC facility.

I looked at a several sites that discusses Blythesville.  Here are some that seem to have some interesting information:

http://www.blythevillegosnell.com/visitor/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blytheville,_Arkansas
http://rvparkreviews.com/regions/Arkansas/Blytheville.html

Doesn't look like there is much in the way of camping.  I assume there will be an area for dry camping.

Jim

Hi Jim

Yes, dry camping is the order of the day. I have discussed at length dry camping near the depot (in closed street parking areas) situation with my Blytheville contact. They are very happy with that plan. This way, folks can stay put nearby, where the action is close to the depot building. Early April there, should be no heat/ no A/C needed. We will have access to the restored depot building (restrooms & additional porta-potties) as well as added overnight Police presence around the area. Now please do not get me wrong, this is not a bad area in the least, Blytheville is a great little town, but nothing wrong with added "good guys" anytime!

Jim mentioned this to me today when we were talking, i had not seen the video yet.  Think that we are going to try and make it but won't know until sometime after the first of the year.....most likely in March.  Something to look forward to for sure.
