PD-4106 windshield
« on: November 11, 2012, 07:53:13 AM »
I have heard the rear windows are no longer available, are the front windshield glass available?

Mine is not cracked but it is developing bubbles between the laminated glass around the edges.

Thanks

Hi Darkspeed,

Yes the front windshields are available. I got mine from a local automotive glass company. They had to order them from their supplier warehouse, but they got and installed them. The windshields are the same from the GM 4104 through the GM 4905 so lots of those buses still around.

Good luck, Sam

Hi Mike,

Sorry, I don't know the cost of my windshields because they were replaced by my comprehensive insurance, no deductible, full glass coverage. Both got hit by stones in construction areas, one in New mexico and one in North Dakota. What ever the insurance paid included labor. If they had not been covered by insurance I would have installed them myself with a helper or two. I suspect a phone call to a glass company would get you the price, either installed or just the glass.

Good luck, Sam

Thanks Sam, Gordie, and Cliff. I have a crack on the windsheild that has been staring at me. It's nice to know it's repairable at a reasonble price.
