Hello all,

If you have plans to attend "Ghosts of Highway 61- Dixie Tour 2013" to be held in Blytheville, Arkansas April 4-6, 2013 I have made the registration form and schedule available. Please note, I incorrectly stated in the Feb. 2013 issue of  National Bus Trader Magizine article that participants would be paying cash for the catered meals and Elvis Presley's Graceland mansion tour. That info is incorrect.  Participants must print, complete form, and send to me with payment . For planning purposes (with caterers, etc.) it is important to get accurate head-count and payment ahead of the event. Forms and payments are due by March 11.  Sorry for any confusion. Looking forward to it!  Thanks

The registration form and schedule is available at: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B72D8XC7bxuYdGFEYjdTVGRtT0k/edit

Tom,

I am having trouble with the link to the registration form and schedule.  It could be the "corporate" computer I am on, but I don't think so.

Thanks!

Tom,

I will have to try it when I get home---the culprit is probably the web security software on my "corporate computer" I use during the day.

Thanks!

I have been told by some that they are having difficulty in printing the Blytheville registration form. If you need a copy please send me an email and I will email it directly to you, or request a paper copy, and I will gladly mail one out to you. Thanks for your patience.

Tom -

Had to futz around a little, but got the Registration form to print, here's how:

1.  Click on the link Tom's provided.

2.  When form pops up, in upper LH side, click on File, then Download.  This will download the .pdf file to your computer.

3.  After file downloads, the Adobe decision box should open, asking if you want to open or save the file.  I simply opened it.

4.  Once the file opened, it's in the standard Adobe format, so simply clicking on the printer icon sends it on it's way to your printer.

At least that's how it worked on a PC.  If you're on a Mac. . . let us know how you did it!

Hi Paul

22 coaches so far! And only two of my Scenicruiser "regulars" have registered yet. (we had 10 Scenics in Amarillo in 2010) I think we will have 30+ coaches. I suspect I will have many last minute registrations.

Lots of really cool stuff....Flxibles, Eagles, 04s, 06s, buffalos, Scenics, silversides, etc. etc.

Lots of non-owner coach fans are flying-in. (Even one from Australia!) Some Blytheville locals have registered for the day trip to Memphis as well.

The town of Blytheville is promoting this much like a block-party. My posters are displayed all over town, and there is much excitement about all of us coming.

"There is an old saying “familiarity breeds contempt” this might apply to some bus owners.  We spend an inordinate amount of time in our buses, under our buses, by our buses.  We eat in them, sleep in them, travel and work on them, sometimes under the most difficult of circumstances.  There are also creative, very imaginative people in our midst that go the extra mile.

Someone who quickly comes to mind is a friend of mine, Mark Renner, he has a bus he is restoring and although it is some 66 years old, is guaranteed to be a show stopper in a month or so at a bus rally in Blytheville, Arkansas.  You can read about this upcoming event here.  In a way it is pretty amazing, when you stop to consider that this bus sat in the Arizona desert for over 30 years before Mark discovered it."
