Made many trips to Crawfords to work on Dad's 4104. Bought my IC41 Brill there. Spent a good amount of time in yard looking for parts. Mostly till Sam passed several years ago. Yard looks about the same as 30 years ago.

I suppose that if you could get one of those buses for nothing, and that you're really a gearhead, one of those buses would be fun to convert. You kind of get an outline of a bus -- and then you get to fill in the blanks. What could be more fun?

Thank You for posting that. That is really interesting and neat and you think about all of the people that drove and rode on all of those things and how many are still alive and where they are now. It looks like some of those buses could be started up and driven down the interstate just like that provided you get them out of the mud but we only see the surface of things on there. Where is this place located?

I've heard conflicting reports as to the status of the inventory, that most of the coaches were scrapped when metal prices went up.  If that's not the case, count me in for a road trip - maybe I can help OneLapper find his elusive rear 4106 glass!

There does not appear to be many busses left.   Looks like someone cashed in on the scrap value.  Too bad since there was a bunch of neat old iron sitting there.

I had also heard that the owner had disposed of many of the coaches when the price of metal skyrocleted.  I am glad that went while I could.  There were a lot of Public Service GMs there as well as New York City old looks that had been sold to Reading Pa.  I doubt if there are many places like this around anymore.

Yeah the street level shot is 5 years ago. But one never knows what one will find in old barns or out in the field someplace even if has had a tree growing thru it for many years.
