Well 1340 miles from Yuma, parked 15 miles east of Cheyenne, nothing change in wyoming,wind still blowing.
Trouble free trip but for the fuel gage quit working,in Hatch NM

Don't worry about gauge it has always hung sometimes hit a bump in the road full of fuel it will start working again

Funny story about the wind in Wyoming. The rig I had before our Eagle was a 76 Chevy 1 ton dully Crew cab stretched with a 24 foot chassi mount with the rear of the cab cut out so you could walk to the back and we pulled a 24 foot pontoon.. I built a 545 to the hilt and the only thing it would not pass was a gas station. Mom and Dad would go with us often fishing in Wyoming. One day we were coming home and I told Dad I need to find some gas. He looked at me and said this is the damnest  state it is always up hill and there is always a head wind. Every time I am in Wyoming and the wind is blowing I think about all the good times we had in the state and wish Mom and Dad was with us.

I too came aout of Yuma this week to OR and same relults as the wind is blowing. the only thing that happened was an engine shutdown for low coolant as I had changed a water pump and must have had an air bubble. filled it back up and ok all the way home. Jerry

We had one of those Chevy dually crew cabs.  You could actually watch the gas gauge drop.  That's why it had two tanks.

We had one too. With a 454, got 6mpg pulling travel trailer. We do better than that with the bus.

ya, i have had 454,and 460 dullys pulling 20ft gooseneck trailer, and just get 100 miles per tank, did'nt matter one horse in it or six

Hi Matt,  I had an Ultratar, a chevy P30 with a 454 electric shift, 28.5' got 7/8 mpg gasoline, towing a samuari, same as bus & jeep, those P30s had so many issues, was constantly dealing with chassis problems or coach issues, nice looking but not as practical to use, I hope you 2 are doin well, tom...
