Well, as Ed noted, we are here in Blytheville (pronounced Blyville).  One of the folks Tom has been working with stopped by the staging area and offered to give us a tour of the Greyhound terminal.  While there is more work to be done, it is a great restoration.

I wanted to make some comments on fuel prices for those traveling east on I70 or south on I55.  In Colorado the fuel was about $3.75.  As soon as we got in Kansas, it jumped to $3.89.  In Missouri almost all the stations had diesel for $3.69.

If you are traveling south on I55 out of St Louis, at mile marker 178 there "Quick Trip" truck stop that has diesel for $3.59 (cash or credit).  Easy off and on and nice folks.

As we got closer to Arkansas the prices got close to $4.00.

Look forward to seeing all the neat buses (and owners ;D)

After looking over the area around the station where we will be parking, i would like to let everyone coming know that it will probably be a slow process. Some will be parked on the streets and some in parking lots and it will take some time to get everybody in place without jamming things up. From what we have heard so far the people are really looking forward to having this event and are really going all out to make sure we have a good time. Hopefully things will go smoothly and they will have enjoyed our visit as much as us.

I heard several of the Prevost Proud's were going to park at Harrah's in Tunica and come look at the buses I told the one just park with you guys and it wouldn't cost him a $900.00 rally fee either lol but he felt like he may not be welcome and already had a spot at Harrah's

Tom's rally is drawing people from all walks of life good job Tom people love old buses

good luck

Ed, Jack, Clifford

Yes, as expected parking will take cooperation and patience. But it should go fine. Thanks for snagging me a paper. I am somewhat of a pack-rat, and like to save stuff like that (really? a guy with four buses, and ump-teen old cars is a packrat....go figure!) Jack, we'll miss you buddy. We'll be thinking about you. Take care. Thanks Clifford! If you guys need anything at all, before I get there, just go see Megan at the GH depot, or L.C., her counterpart, they will help any way she can. Take care

Megan and L.C. are absolutely great!  Really rolling out the red carpet. Anything we ask for is provided.  I washed the bus today and so then went down to the depot to refill my tank and take some pictures.  Almost caused a riot and traffic jam with dozens of people stopping to ask questions and take pictures.  L.C. has really promoted this event.  All the T.V. stations are coming out from Memphis and even a TV helicopter will be filming.  Can you believe it?  Never seen interest like this over buses.  Great parking with all the closed off streets.  You guys that can't make it are going to be sorry.

Needless to say, this rally should take a front seat in the BCM!  8)

Enjoy all the scenery, take lots of pics, and share, share, share...........Please!

Tom, you have done a fantastic job of promoting this event. That's what it takes to get folk primed and ready.
