I took the liberty of combining some posts, deleting some posts and moving some photos to get this all together under one heading. Richard 11/11/06

Hello,my name is Frank Mooney, and for some time now,I've been reading all of your post, this is my first time posting.I have a 4501 that I'm doing some upgrades on,my biggest challenge is going to be supplying air conditioning to her.She came with 2 roof tops airs which I removed.I like the lines of the scenics, and don't really care for any type of roof wart so to speak. The bus at one time had central air,but the previous owner said that it didn't work that well,so he tore it out.I know of one gentleman (Frank Allen) that has a regular type of automotive set-up that runs off the engine, and I think I would like to run this type of set-up on my bus.The challenge is going to be,how can I run this type of system going down the road......boondocking....and in a campground using shore power.Any and all suggestions are appreciated,thanks.....Frank 4501-082

. Hello to one and all,I have the 1954 Scenicruiser that is in the Bus photo section.Their were a couple of comments as to who I was,so this is the reason for the post.My name is Frank Mooney, and I reside in San Diego Calif. The Scenicruiser is serial #082,and I purchased this converted Cruiser in October of 2005 from a Mr Bill Dumas in New Mexico. My first of many goals in the reconversion of this bus,was the outside which is more or less done.I now have turned my attention to the inside of the bus.Theirs only a zillion things to do to a bus,as you all know.I'll update as I go,thanks for the comments..............Frank Bosshosssport96

Ok, so how does one follow that Scenic Cruiser with it's fantastic workmanship? You can't ... but nonetheless, I'll post our humble MCI, MC-8 and return the thread back down to earth. Kinda like a talent contest, you get the one really great singer and the next poor schmub after him simply sighs and hangs his head -- but then the others following the schmub feel a little more at ease. Ok, I'll be the schmub.
Oh, love the paintjob for sure ... especially the greyhound with sunglasses. No one mentioned dollars and cents ... or is that politically incorrect? Besides this bus, I also liked the fresh paint, stainless and chrome on a 4104's engine compartment posted earlier.
Yesterday while talking with a bus driver from Pittsburgh, I said I'd love to have an engine compartment with nice paint, braided hoses, chrome and such. But he pointed out the obvious ... even to me ... find a DD that doesn't leak oil.

ok, on to the photos...

... and so it continues ...
Ok, beyond "da bus" ... there's hopefully the reason we have a bus.
And that's to enjoy it and have fun with it.
In our case, it's most often with the kids. Whether just ours or with their friends in tow, we enjoy traveling to amusement parks, we do birthday parties in it, the mountains, the beach, etc. Point being, although there are challenges in owning and converting a bus ... for me (us), it's the ultimate use of the bus.

How about Bus Nut owner photos next their coach in the Bus Album?

Fellow Bus Nuts,
I was wondering if it would be possible for the owners to post their pictures next to their bus, or start another section, or add to the Bus Photo Album?
As we are new to this board, we have not had the chance to meet any of you fine folks. We have not been able to go any of the bus rallies yet, and would like to know who we are corresponding with and reading the posts.
A name with a face, so to speak.
Dallas, any input here?
Is that a possibility?

Hey, Paul and Becky!
That's a pretty good idea!
I'm not sure how Nick, Phil and the
REAL
PTB's would feel about it, but in order to save space here, I would be happy to have anyone send me photo's of any size to my admin email and I'll resize them and post them in a photo album of their own.
Please be sure to caption them with Bus Name, Type, Make, Model, Year,
YOUR Name
and anything else that you wanted to be included.
They will be available as soon as I can set them up.
The email to send them to is:
admin@busconversionstuff.com
Will that be any help???

Another thing that would be helpfull would be the state that the members are from.
I know that there is a place for it in the members profile, but some members don't even have it there. Just seeing it next to their name would eliminate looking into the profile. That way we get a better idea where everyone is from, and who to call or Email for a visit when we are traveling, or advice if we need help.
Just a thought
