Hello folks.  Newby just joining in.  Here's a 1990 MCI 102C3 that was originally Hormel's SPAM NASCAR/INDY sponsor bus.  I got her after the blue and pink paint was covered over by a rather flat grey color.  I guess, from reading other posts from the pros here, that I'm more a checkbook conversion guy -- although every detail about my finish out was how I wanted it. I did do the upholstery and tile work and some electrical and plumbing reconfiguration.  I reconfigured the Cruise air units to digital thermometers and installed new electric heaters and exhaust fans.  The easy stuff mainly.  The rest of the work was done by some excellent craftsmen.  I should finish up the inside by March this year.  She's an 8V92TA with 40,000 miles (on a rebuilt 250,000 mile coach).  Here's a couple of pics.  We've really enjoyed her.  Look forward to see you guys on the road.....

Nice looking C3 Ed!

Welcome! You have a great piece of history! 8)

I would encourage you to start a page in the Bus Project section. That way all of the posts will apply directly to your coach and won't get lost in the shuffle of things!

Been a member for a while but never put up pictures...This is my 1959 4104. We bought the bus a couple of years ago from a guy named Bill who had recently sold a rather large manufacturing plant in Iowa and had retired to the Branson Mo area. The bus showed up on Craigslist, very much out of my price range, I called Bill and told him up front I was just a tire kicker but I had never seen a 4104 and asked if my wife and I could come up and look at her. He invited us up, took us on a ride, then we visited at their lakefront home, thanked them and went home thinking wow what a bus wish we could swing it.

Long story short over the next couple of weeks Bill called me several times each time dropping the price. He told me that he and his wife had decided we were the people who needed to own the bus next. Later I talked with a couple of members here who contacted Bill to buy the bus, both were told the bus was spoken for.

Bill wanted me to come up and get the bus and "try her out for a couple of weeks." This was something I normally would not do, but by this time the price had came way down. We went back up, drove the bus home and spent the next 2 weeks on the road with her. He got the price down so low we could not pass it up. I never tried to talk him down on the price, he just kept dropping the price until we could not pass it up. I had a 1972 22" Barth RV we ended up selling for more than the purchase price of the 4104.

I really Like the style of the GM 4104's and the 4103 buses. anyway here are a few pictures if I can get them to post.

Did that bus come from Citrus Heights. If so I was going to buy it 2 years ago. The owner was very honest and told me that a bolt fell out of the flywheel and was laying somewhere in the pan. I said thsnks and moved on. It was is a nice looking bus.
