Welcome! Nice looking coach you found. Start yourself a Bus Project page and post as many pictures and stories you want. I'm sure you will be changing updating as you go along, it's a great place to have a little history to look back on.

Our PD4106 1015

We acquired this GM PD 4106 1015 converted coach in November 2014 from Jim and Shirley Kendall. I believe Jim started the conversion in 2003 and brought it to AZ in about 2008. It was about 97% complete. It needed paint a lot of maintenance. It is coming along nicely with new red paint. Here are some of the details and I am sure I miss a few.

Builder Jim Kendall 2003-2008
Brought to AZ 2008, seldom if never used
Features all solid Black Walnut wood throughout.
Power train 8-71T and a V730
Updated brakes and controllers.
Seven Alcoa wheels and new tires.
300 amp engine generator charges house batteries.
V730 accessory drive powers 180 amp alternator for engine batteries.
Accessory drive also powers driver/passenger air conditioner.
There are two high amp switches that control both systems.
15 KW Perkins turbo powered diesel 120/240 volt Gen set.
Roof raised 18 inches and floor raised to give a flat floor.
Under floor used to run all new wires and hoses
Spray foam closed cell insulation entire coach
Coach lined with ¼ inch plywood
Custom dash and mirrors
Tilt steering wheel
Jake
Side by side driver/passenger air ride premium leather seating
Circular entrance steps.

Wow! Very nice! Can you please start a Project thread and include these pics and the description you have posted. That way all of the information on your coach is in one place, along with any comments.

Just purchased my first bus a 1968 Silver Eagle. Paid just $4500.00 It starts and runs like a champ, but the interior is now stripped and in the process of wiring it to my liking. The 6.5 KW Onan needs a new carburetor, and there are no holding tanks on board so I have my work cut out for me. Both steers are in great shape but the rears show some sidewall weathering but good tread depth.

Lucky for me, Cowells in Joplin is just a couple hours away. My intention is to install and interior that sleeps 8 with shower, crapper, and kitchen. Then use it to travel up and down Baja carrying 6 surfers/divers and stopping at the good surf and diving spots on 4 week trips. I am willing to read all replies, suggestions, and help that I can get. I look forward to being and avid reader and contributor to this forum.

I don't have a pic of me with the bus yet and I didn't get a selfie stick for Christmas but will work on a pic.

Here is my 78 Eagle 05. I picked it up in November and had a heck of a time getting it home. It took several 6-hour trips to finally get her running enough to get her home. And, that drive took an overnight stop because I didn't want to proceed without running lights nor have a problem in the middle of the Oregon Coastal mountains at night.

Runs like a champ however a bit slow on the hills. I'm spoiled with 4 stoke school buses that climb at 45mph, not 20. Also need to figure where the oil leaks is. There is a big one somewhere that I haven't isolated because there is years of grime and grease on the engine to wash off.

She is mostly gutted leaving me enough necessities to steel camp till I can figure out what I like and what I don't. No need in jumping into a floorplan or power plant change right now. I just want to enjoy the bus.
