Thought maybe we all would get some new ideas to  how to paint a bus or best place to paint or new designs on vinyl. Maybe he will come back and give us some tips. Do you rub out todays paint like the old stuff?

I am at StarJet today. and what job they are doing. They painted my coach 3 yrs ago and they are taking care of some warrenty items that most companys would never do. They are also doing a cut and polish. Best I have seen.If you would like to Know more Email or call. Jerry

Jerry, I am glad you are having good success with them. That is the VERY frustrating part. They CAN do good work, but they sure didn't on ours. I totally understand a shop that isn't capable of turning out a decent product. However, when a shop can, but didn't/wouldn't, that is that sad part. I would have given them a pass if they at least would have done the paint job right, but unfortunately, that wasn't even the case.

I hope you talked to Dick about the things that went aray. I called them a year ago and told them what was going on.And just showed up. We were hear 2 days on then in the shop for ten days. And the coach looks great and all `it took was talking to them and no bad mouthing. And no bill.

Jerry, we have talked to Dick quite a bit. They would probably fix the paint, if we drove out there. However, there were far greater issues then just the paint that we had. For example, we paid them extra to weld supports around for each roof air to sit on. When we pulled down the aluminum panels on the ceiling, later in the conversion process, turns out they had pop riveted some tubing to the ceiling and called it good. The paint job is now starting to have issues also. Not to mention they owe us money (I know, shame on us) etc, etc.  We ended up redoing a lot of things that they did.

I really am glad that you had a good experience with them. They can do good work, I just wish our bus was one that they chose to do good work on. I am not badmouthing them at all, just telling our experience. My thought is, and it may not be popular, I would like to help others avoid a bad experience.

3 year old high dollar paint job and back to have repair work done it should never happen if right the 1st time out, 10 days for repairs hell you can strip one ,prep and paint in 10 days IMO long live the Wilson Bros

John316 I am sorry that has happen to you I hope all the very best for you. Luvrbus Only 4 days were on the clear coat repairs and 6 were spent on the cut and polish (4 step process)and a crack that I did with the crack repaired and 3 paint colors. and the coach looks great. My point is that we know one other person that there paint is over 10 that they still do free warr. work on. The only thing is the 8 hr. drive here that we payed for the fuel.  But we are on our way out west in the morring.Best of luck to all.

 I've put deep scratches in my Mike Wilson paint job before and Mike always repaired those for free he never did any what you call warranty work there was never a need but glad you are happy with StarJet their paint jobs just never impressed me

 FWIW in that part of the country Performance Painting in Elkhart IN would be my choice he does a great job on the Royale Prevost
