Air Pressure
« on: April 28, 2013, 07:29:13 AM »
My bus airs up to over 150PSI. The safety valve on the air dryer pops and constantly lets air out. It is not the purge valve it is the safety valve. I replaced the Governor on the air compressor with no relief. The Low air light on the dash stays on as does the low air Tag axle light.  MCI 102D3 any suggestions??  Thanks Rod

The unloader valves in the compressor are bad or stuck you need to check the in line valve and be sure all tanks are filling then if filling your tag and low air light should go out

Is that the reason you replaced the governor or did this just happen after?

He needs to check some of the MCI D's Northwest was selling had the DRO Bendix valve if they go bad it is either no air pressure or plenty of air pressure
