rear end Installed !

Finally! been a long haul and search. So final drive is::: 60 series with eaton 10 spd autoshift .75 final OD with 3:07 ratio rear end. 315 80 R 22.5 rubber. The search for rear end was a trick as my carrier was only suppose to except 4:10 at best. 14 pinion to 43 ring gear supplied by meritor ...It's in!!!!! Sort of like a turning point in this build. I know several have been following and advising ; in this case older year model would have been better with the 3:33 easy. Everything new except case. Bearings seals etc. Life is good!! Bob

Would be surprised if you ever get it into that .75 OD with the 3.07 gear with the 315 tires, It will be fun.

With your gearing, you should get great mileage. In 10th at 65 you'll be at 1209rpm (which is NOT to slow for the Series 60) and 1395tpm at 75. Good Luck, TomC

I do allot of flat land interstate and 75 and 1400 is/was goal. Got the gears for the hills. Just seems to me the traffic flow is 70- 75 and I would like to just blend in --always option of slowing down. Can't wait to get on scales. Shooting for low to mid 40's. Keeping weight down every chance I get. 36,100 on last 40ft Prevost build with 8V-92 . The scales tell all! Would be nice for a little help at fuel pump. Will have to use it to come out on the cost--good thing I bought coach without drive train in it so I had choices. I ran about$4,000 over my original plan for build. So when it's all said and done will have about 26 grand in build. Includes bus purchase and parts I sold off it I did not need. It will never be done. IT is the last one !!!!!

Sounds Perfect For That Warp Eight High Speed Cruise

When you find out that sometimes you really have to get from Point A to Point B at maximum safe cruising speed you will have the legs to get it done. "Can we maintain Warp 8 Mr. Scott?" "Eye Captain....perhaps even a wee bit more"! HB of CJ (old coot)
My old Crown Supercoach had three, (3) possible gears choices at 55 mph...8th, 9th and 10th. Roadrangers forever!

I am in the Road Ranger camp, and with a 8V-92, RTO-910, 3.73 Rear & 11R X 24.5 tires (480 rpm), running 75-85 while not real bright sure is doable, top speed is in the 95-100 area. BTDT

Maybe I shouldn't say this, but with my 3:33 gears and .73 OD I calculate the gearing and RPM for a possible 106. I seriously doubt I have the power to pull that speed, but have run at 75 without any problem. 400 HP ISM @ 31,000 lbs is a nice combination to have. I usually run around 63 or so on the freeways and highways when listed above 60mph. Since I pay the fuel bill I don't often run fast. It is nice to know I can if I have to though!

The whole goal of my gear change was to get engine rpm into best torque range and fuel range. If I would have stayed at 4:56 I would have been at almost 2000rpm at 65 mph. Since I needed to regear might as well go for best combo? Bob
