At 238 sq.ft. their Tiny House is one of the largest I've seen.   Some are less than 100 sq.ft.   There's many clips on YouTube of these houses.   Most are built on wheeled platforms or trailer frames to avoid the minimum square footage restrictions that apply to conventional houses.

With about 300 interior sq.ft., my bus is palatial compared to them!

My truck has 275sq/ft of usable living space. But also another 260cu/ft in the basement, 400cu/ft in the garage and another 100cu/ft around the perimeter frame. Don't know how I'd get along without my tools, equipment and such needed to work on these vehicles when on the road. Good Luck, TomC

Thank goodness they are designed to sit a whole lot and be moved very little.  What kind of power would it take to push that small home through the air at 60mph?  Hope the exterior is well attached.  Is there even a spring suspension underneath?  Or even brakes?

Actually....humm....I am thinking here. (dangerous!)  What would you perhaps have if you increased the width to 10 feet and the length to 40 feet...and went 2 floors?  What kind of special, expensive, (or $not$) moving permits would be required?  HB of CJ (old coot) :)

It certainly wouldn't be a Tiny House!   Maybe a Double-High?

I had long wondered why I had never seen a semi-trailer converted to a camper trailer, until last week. There was a 40' converted reefer on the Madison, WI Craig's List. The pictures indicated a very nice interior, exterior looked like a converted reefer, not too pretty.

Never been to a NASCAR race, but I have heard big semi truck/trailers have been factory built to provide very swank living quarters for the select, talented drivers?  $Millions$ of bucks? Dunno fur sures.  HB of CJ (old coot)

Oh and add 6 wheels and an engine! ;D

I've seen trailers converted into really nice tool shops in the movie industry.  Looks like a crappy beatup trailer from the outside and you walk in and have just about every tool you could think of with a work bench and work space.

Jeremy and others; suggest you go to the Escapees HDT (Heavy Duty Truck) section of their board and get an idea what the HDT'ers are doing with their rigs and 5th wheels.  A very knowledgeable group. 

And, yes there are people who use commercial 5th wheel trailers and even a company that makes 5th wheel trailers based on a commercial chassis.  Here is the link to the HDT section of the Escapees board:
