I will be there boys.  Look for the old gray Iggle parked in the back of the lot.  Will be carrying a sawed off 12 gauge with a 155lb. Pit Bull on a short leash.

No good huh?

Okay, okay.

A young woman stepped forward from the throng and asked, "0' great prophet, tell us how we might find love that is unconditional, unwavering and unending." The prophet did not answer right away. He looked off into the distance, gathering his thoughts. Silence descended upon the crowd. Then he turned his gaze upon the young woman and said, "Get a dog but do not name her coffee."

Have a nice time, Lake Afton is a pretty nice place.  You can stop in Enid, Oklahoma (Highway #81) and visit Brahms for a bag of Junior Burgers, only $4.75 per bag.

Don, I like the biscuits and gravy, strawberry ice cream and they do have good pecan pie made with real butter at Brahms but I don't care much for their burgers

Burger King has the best I would venture to say.  There is a little Mom & Pop DQ in Union City, Oklahoma that has the absolute best, its on SH#81 also.  But just for a "lite snack" those little Junior Burgers are a pretty good, and the price is right.

Hope you is getting better.

Gotta admit, you got a chuckle with that one.

When I was 50 I went to the Guru on the high mountain and asked what was the secret to happiness.  He replied "Life is nothing but heartache and disappointment until you reach age 50".  And then what, I asked.... he said "... then you get used to it!"
 ;D ;D ;D

VERY GOOD DOYLE!  I got a chuckle out of your wisdom.

Welcome to installment 57 of How Life Works

If you know more than one way to skin a cat ... you definitely need help.
If it is as easy as shooting fish in a barrel, then why bother?
If you are at Jiffy Lube or Speedco and the help gets into a heated discussion about which end of the bus has the motor ... go somewhere else.

Free advice is usually worth every penny you pay for it.
Just because the donuts are free, that doesn’t mean there won’t be heartburn later on.
Nine times out of ten, when someone says to you, “I hope you don’t mind me saying this ... but” ... you are going to mind.

As you are in the middle of an engine swap/rebuild.
Knowledge is knowing grease comes from Hamburgers or BLT’s.
Wisdom is not putting it in your fuel tank.

And finally ... In your lifetime you will read and learn many things that will benefit you immensely, this was not one of them.

I always wondered about this.  "Just suppose, that cancer is hereditary in white mice, then what?"

Here is a sampling of what you might find at the Eagles Rally in Kansas.  A little bus porn for all you hopelessly addicted bus peeple.  These buses were in attendance at the last rally held at that location, they most likely will be there again.

Clifford, we won't be there, health issues, weather related problems, dictate that we stay home this year. We both know it is better to wear out than rust out and we sure wanted to be out on the road, but it just aint gonna happen.  Often you have to make choices in life, this is just one of them.

Make sure you belly up to the table with the "big boys" and get some free donuts!

So is a guy driving a MCI 8 allowed to pull in and hook up or does he have to park in the back 40 even if he admits to admiring the Eagles..

As I recall there are no hookups ... but I could be wrong.  Pull up on the front row and show 'em all what it is all about!
