Joe,  That does seem like the best route.  Bryce is out because of the high altitude, would love to see it though.  There did seem to be some stuff in Kanab area,  but that can be a day trip.  There didn't seem to be a good route from Moab to Kanab. We have been on some tight roads,  Hwy 1 from Westport to Hwy 101 on the California coast.  It wasn't bad in the GM but it was a long drive in the Eagle.  Thanks for all the advice.

Joe, I don't know how long since you have traveled 20, but two years ago the state widened and smoothed much of 20 and improved it a bunch, it sure beats 14 to get over to 89, I travel this area very often with my 39 ft. coach & towed.>>>Dan

Arches, Canyon lands, Capital Reef, Escalante, Bryce Canyon, Zion - they're all good - Utah South of I70 is just one giant NP

So 89 is a good road?  Because of health reasons we want to avoid being above 5000 feet at night.  Driving through isn't a problem though.  That was the reason for skipping Bryce.  There does seem to be a lot of stuff off Hwy89 of interest.

89 runs the length of Utah north-south, it use to be "THE" main road before I15 was built and is well maintained. Between I70 and Kanab its excellent and travels mostly in the valley's thru farm and ranch country with quaint small towns along the route. southbound at Mt.Carmel junction, you have a choice, either continue south and turn west to St.George, or turn west on 9 and go thru Zion park then out to I15.>>>Dan ( Just south of Orderville is a KOA for a good nites stay at relatively low altitude.>>>Dan
