2013 Non-Rally in the mountains of South Carolina at Palmetto Cove

The October (11th - 13th) 2013 Non-Rally in the mountains of South Carolina at Palmetto Cove.
Will be the same format as the last 6, eat & greet.

I have reserved space at the park from October 6th thru October 13th.

I'm planning on being there Friday morning, but earlier arrivals are welcome.

No reservations required (that's a good thing since The Cove doesn't take them!)
Full hookups, some 50 Amp, rest are 30Amp, all with water & sewer.
You must be fully self contained (shower, toilet, & kitchen) per state health department rules since there are no bath houses there.

There is no rally fee. There will be a donation pot for those who wish to help offset the cost of the meals. Feel free to bring sides or desserts to meals.


The Non-Schedule:

Friday night – spaghetti.


For Saturday:
Breakfast – eggs, biscuits, sausage, & gravy.
Lunch – On your own - the shelter should be available to grill burgers.
Night – Low Country Boil.


For Sunday:
Breakfast – Left overs
Lunch – Left overs



Those with musical talents are encouraged to share.

For what it is worth, we will be there with two adults, two grand kids, two guinea pigs, 2 mexican lap dogs (one is a professional back scratcher).  Hope more plan to come, we'll have the fire pits and hopefully some of the regulars will also plan to be there, hard to believe the end of the year has already come.  So don't let it pass you by.  Got a lot of new lies to tell you guys.  Back massages are $15 each or treats worth this same price.

Hi Glen & Patsy. 
Well I hope everyone will welcome a newbie I have just been talking his ear off on the phone for nearly 1 hr, can you imagine that, I talk a lot too.  Anyhow, we will have a newbie at the Palmetto Cove rally on October 11-13th, his name is (George Dickerson), he is a ex-vet, from Augusta, GA and seems like a excited great new MCI owner.  So be sure to welcome him into our busnut family especially at Palmetto Cove this October. 

I hope many more of you will change your mind if you do not have other plans to come to the Palmetto Cove Rally, Glen Rice will be there, oh, already said that.  Anyhow, have a great night.

You're right Joe, I still love thinking of my military days, the very best meaningful days of my life and I am proud as hell to have served.  I am making a full movie of my ship (USS Coral Sea CVA-43) as we speak but need to get permission to put it public first as I have used photos from others and do not want to infringe on their rights.  Anyhow I did encourage George Dickerson to post here and Eagles International and he said he does post on two bulletin boards now.  He is just now learning how to use his computer so we have to let him slowly ween off the nipple you might say, he'll get it and be one of us soon.  I am anxious to meet him, he was real interesting to talk to and quite excited about becoming a true bus nut.  I understand that the Conrads and Vickery's have kept him hidden for a little while to themselves though, lol.  Anyhow we will have a hoot at the cove as usual, and yes Glen I am all for having us form a Palmetto Cove band.  I almost wet myself thinking of it.

Only 2 more weeks and the official (Non-Rally) at Palmetto Cove will begin, October 11-13, 2013 will once again begin.  I hope those not attending the big rally in Tennessee that have nothing else to do will consider packing up one more time for the end of the year and coming to Palmetto Cove for Kyle's end of the year Rally.  Nothing big planned but those that have been there before all know this is a great spot just to hang out with mostly those we all now know.  I know of one newbie coming and hope more will attend.  Time is flying by so darn fast, lets slow it down for a weekend and enjoy Kyles non bus gathering once again.  See you all there.

In seven more days, there will be two bus rallies,
Try to attend one of them, they'll be right up your alley's.
One is in Tennessee with the turning of the trees is keen,
The other is at Palmetto Cove, always quiet and pristine.

This will probably be the last bus rally, for most of us to attend
for this year only, next year is just around the calenders bend.
So come out to one of the rallies, kick some tires and tell some lies,
let the women compare notes of their know it all guys.

come to either rally for some fun, good eating and relaxing days,
wishing these few hours together would last forever in so many ways.
we're all getting older with the passing of each day,
Try to attend one of these rallies, make no excuses in any way.

Try your best to attend a fun rally in Tennessee or Palmetto Cove October 11 - 13, 2013.

Just got off the phone with Vern. He is leading a caravan of 3 up to The Cove from Florida on Monday.

In three more days, 2 bus rallies will start,
Try to attend one, it will be good for the heart.
The weather should be fine, great fall weather and all,
Either rally you can't help but but love the colors of fall.

Drive careful to either rally, no need to run at top speed,
we'll be waiting in both places, Your safe presence we will need.
Try to come early, kick a tire or two
We've ordered good weather for everyone of you.

Tennessee will have big plans, to keep you occupied
Palmetto Cove will be more relaxed, peaceful and serene like you just died.
The scenery in both places, will take your breath away,
Plan to attend either rally, only 3 days to the day.

Another non-rally is in the books.
And a wonderful one it was. I was able to meet some new busnut friends & reconnect with old friends.
The weather was absolutely perfect. The food was great & the fellowship fantastic.   

Thanks to all who attended & contributed to the success of this event.

Time to start planning the next one, so I have reserved the park for the second weekend in October next year.
