And the last one this today lol.  I've sent email or left vm on buses I wanted more info on.  This one didn't even list year. I like the minimalism.  It says new engine, tranny, and drive.

That is a New Jersey Transit MCI the engine color is a rebuilt color from NJT and it will be from the 80's NJT did have a good maintenance program and the mileage could be accurate

Whee, that is seriously steep for something that rough.

I would pass in a heartbeat.

Now, I may get flamed for this, but here it goes. Make sure you know what you are getting into with the bus. If you can do mechanical work yourself, it might work out well. However, things add up very quickly. Just as an example, we have to replace our air compressor this trip. The compressor itself is $500 (rebuilt) and Clark Power charges $110 an hour for install..... In my opinion, what you pay for the bus is often the down payment, in a sense. Be prepared for the costs afterwards.

When they sold those MCI's off they were asking $4,500 to $12,000 the 12 grand was on the high side I never saw one worth 12 grand my self JMO

I am not a mechanic but I am prepared for the higher normal annual maintenence costs.  So I need the most sound bus to begin with.

Dave, they are saying about 8, or so. That sounds right to me, because that thing is a total pain to get at. We will see. Monday is when we should be able to get it installed.

Skell, what is your initial purchase budget for your bus? For some interesting reading, check this guys posts out.
