Anyone using Balmar regulator with 50DN alternator?
« on: September 30, 2013, 06:50:27 PM »
Is anyone here using a Balmar regulator with a 50DN alternator?  I called Balmar and the guy on the phone didn't know for sure if it would work as he hadn't dealt with a 50DN for 25 or 30 years.  He said to measure the resistance between F1 and F2 on the DN50 and then call him back with the reading.  I didn't get a chance to do that today.

I thought the Balmar was for P type alternator only I was told they don't work on N type I have one on the RV I don't see any great feature with the high dollar regulator it takes forever to float the house batteries but some swear by it
