RJ, I know it doesn't make much sense, but the one we helped scrap was all white. I understand that HB Industries reconditioned and converted the drive line and installed the VS-2 and replacement rear axle.

I thought that the owner being an airline pilot was an interesting coincidence.

Hello all!

I just joined the forum to share some news with you. I am happy to report that 2481 is still rolling. I purchased the 30' coach about 2 weeks ago. I was doing some research and stumbled across this thread. Very excited to have my first coach, and more excited to have a survivor. Cheers from Nashville, Tennessee!

Welcome to the group and congratulations on the purchase of a very unique coach. As you may have read by now we can confirm that at least 3 coaches were shortened for Gray Line Bus Service to be operated at Pikes Peak, Colorado.

Your coach's serial number is one of those buses. A 2nd short 4106 resides somewhere in Florida.  Yours is the only one we have seen online in many years.
