Hello, all.

I'm more of a lurker than a poster; most everyone here gives great advice; now I need some.

Does anyone have an pneumatic schematic (say that thrice rapidly) for a 1972 Prevost Champion?
I'm going tomorrow to try to resurrect it from a 2-year slumber.  I've been to it once and got it started (8V71 with Jakes!); it made air, tag lift might work, didn't see it lift off the stops on the drive axle.  The guage drops like a rock when brakes applied, accompanied by leak sounds around drives or tags.  Otherwise, didn't hear any leaks, but obviously can't drive it like that!

I don't have a manual but those systems are very simple it was made before Prevost started over engineering the air system it has no electronic crap to deal with, it will have DD-3's unless someone changed it over to spring brakes

Thanks, belfry.  If it had electronics it would have to be tubes or mag amps, lol.

It does have a 'Parking Brake' button, which seems to have air on it and feels/works like a maxi brake.  Im so ignorant about this I don't even know what's a DD3 but Im gonna read up.  But I am fairly knowledgeable about air  systems in general.

Sounds like a blown brake diaphragm. you can clamp each side off one at a time to see which one with vise grips.  The on line will not go back that far but will give you general ideal.  Normal would enter last letter of your serial # then last four numbers (unit number) to give you coach specific drawing.  If it is on tag brakes well ? is do you really need them if they are lifted? Sounds like signal is getting to back to apply brakes so must be between R-12 and brake cans--   Good luck!   Bob
