http://www.raventechcorp.com/Products.html   Is it now made by a South African company?   Some European cars have been using this technology for a while, so it should be mature by now.   I wonder if it's related to the chip detectors used in helicopter gearboxes?   Sounds promising.

The Raventech site is dated 2010, and the pictures and script are identical to the IntelliStick site, which is no more. I suspect that they were merely attempting to sell IntelliStick's product and had nothing to do with it otherwise.

I thought that Allison offered a low oil level sensor as an option on the 740. Also this outfit offers low oil level sensors. Didn't read up on particulars though.

I have a low level sensor in my V730, and it activates an inhibitor switch so if you are.one gallon low it won't shift from 2nd to 3rd.
