SILVERSIDE PARTS ARE BACK! PD3751.COM
« on: November 15, 2019, 02:03:49 PM »
PD-3751/41 (and some pre-war Silverside parts) are back in production.  Some of you may remember that I have produced reproduction lenses and rubber products for these coaches over the years. And many of you have seen them on my restored Silverside which is owned now by John.  Mr. John Thompson and Mr. Jason Ewing now have the molds and dies to continue on with production of these rare parts.  They will be producing the following, plus additional rare items in the future.

                                                             RUBBER PRODUCTS

*  All side window profiles
*  Entrance door seal
*  Emergency door seal
*  Windshield gasket
*  Destination sign gasket
*  Rear windows gasket

                                                             LENSES

*  Greyhound front nose emblem
*  Front amber arrow turn signals
*  Michigan marker lamps, both amber and red
*  Front amber corner markers
*  Rear red corner markers
*  Rear center STOP lens

These lenses are exact reproductions, down to the last detail of the OEM glass lenses.  They don't break when you drop 'em!  They are cast from the correct color, clear cast urethane, from excellent original pieces.

I am assisting John and Jason as they move to full production.  I hope you will support them as they are going to provide valuable assistance to anyone who wants exact replicas of these rare original parts.

Forgot to mention;  the front Greyhound nose emblem was also used on early PD4501 Scenicruisers and also the early PD4104.
In addition, an identical emblem (but with the dog facing the reverse direction (toward the curb) was used on the pre-war Silversides, PD3701/41.  So the reproduction lens will work on the above coaches also.  You must have an oval trim ring to mount the lens, they are not being reproduced YET.

Thanks for your help with these two guys. I have been talking with Jason for some time. He did say something at one time. But, Now we know it is official and It could not be at a better time with our project.   That will help us focus on other much need items for the bus.

Do you know of anyone with a set of seats? I know Jason is also looking for a set.  We are delivering a Model A bus out to Kansas City, Mo in the next two months and hope to locate some parts along the way.

Thanks again for all your support for our hobby
