Walter I think that bus is serial number 9170,I recall it was the State of Ky that would screw with the 4 digit serial number

Clifford do you know this bus?

I believe if it is a 1969 it should be closer to my serial which is 7628, making my bus a late 1968

Yes, I'm afraid 9170 does not make sense. If it is a 1969, it should be around 77XX or 78XX. The only numbers that resemble any facts are the 05, the rest could be a title number or completely random.

You never know with Eagles people wack on the serial number titles get lost and people just use any Eagle title and change the serial number to match the title,if your has the original speedometer which is doubtful the serial number will be on the back of it or under the body trim below the windows, and. it will have a frame number if the section wasn't rusted out and replaced you can match the frame number to get the serial number fwiw ,Brownsville built Eagles should have 5 numbers on a 05 they added a 1 in front of the 4 numbers for plant ID just in case anyone is looking at Eagles it get confusing when the same bus has the 5 number serial number made a few weeks apart in different countries
Life is short drink the good wine first
