I had a long chat with one of my sons tonight. He's got a fleet of trucks that haul dangerous goods in AB/SK. He's been using the same hydraulic oil for 5 or 6 years now but discovered this week that it has a pour point of -32. I guess up until now they got lucky. He sent me some pictures on Sunday of something that looked like a wax ball. I thought maybe he had an oil/water emulsion going on but its just the cold. The first trucks affected were working north of Edmonton so in the deepest part of the current deep freeze. One thing about winter in Canada - it'll find the weak point in your equipment real quick.

Just have many posters that have nothing to otherwise do. Or feel like doing. Weather related maybe? Hey, surprise the wife and drag out the vacuum cleaner.

That was news? Probably under reported. It's no wonder the politicos think they can take over the world.

So how about the mini ice age that we're supposedly overdue for? Do you think that it's just possible that all this heat we are generating is holding that one off?
