Then once you are in Canada do as you please. The secret is to "KNOW" beforehand what they WANT to hear.

During  recent Covid times that is not the case anymore. They have strict procedures now..... Many people are getting caught and the fines are horrendous.

Need to wait till this awful time passes for many reasons.

Yeah, as time gets closer, I do some serious inquiries. Don't want to get into trouble. They share information between all border crossings from what Ive heard. If it doesnt work out, then a huge tour of US this year instead. Assuming that will work.🙄

Traveling someplace, displaying licence plates from some other place in the middle of this is asking for trouble.

You will be watched and reported on by many dozens of distressed locals all along the way.

So many people have been trying to do their part, and the frustration with those who appear to not be doing theirs is rising with the death toll.

Best to wait for everyone to relax a bit?

Happy coaching!

Here in Manitoba, (besides being -35 degrees) they will be making it manditory for a 14 day quarantine starting Thursday @ midnight for any non-essential border crossing. Even from a neighbouring Province. Exemptions are health care workers, essential services (transportation) and by special arrangement. Hell has arrived!

From what is going on more recently around the globe, I'm softening my attitude that we dumb Americans and their fierce independent streak have created much of the pain and suffering COVID is able to inflict on populations.
However, seeing this sort of post, watching how hard the UK is shutting itself off, and countries like South Korea that had it beat, all fighting hard again, makes me reassess how much any democratic country can crush this disease.
Only countries like China and those very small and remote  seem to be able to control it. And now with multiple variants forming each day and inadequate vaccine production, it does seem this is going to drag on far longer than most of us had hoped. Stay safe and boondock guilt free!

I'm not going to assume China is controlling it. Its not like they are free with their information to the press.

I'd take any bet, it is under control in China given the absolute iron fist they have over their citizens. From early on, they instituted various systems and technology to know where everyone is, who they had contact with, surveillance cameras everywhere monitoring people's temperature, etc etc. I am certain if anyone pops up with COVID they are all over it and they will seek out every possible person who might have contracted it and quarantine them, no questions asked.

Seems so. LOL, and I work in the transportation industry so WooHoo, I don't need a vaccine 'cause I'm immune! :o

I know not everyone will agree with whatever protocals are put in place but let's face it, the current adminstration (wherever you are) does not know squat in the handling of any pandemic. That is fact because they have not gone through it. While they may have history to sample from nobody knows what the best thing to do is. So they take a stab at a path to follow and roll with the flow as it ambles down the stream. 10 different people will have 10 different and unique opinions on how to handle things.
One thing for sure ... time will be the ultimate judge.
Be as safe as you can and hope for the best.

I don't think that is what they are saying at all. Seems much more like a recognition that certain categories of workers will need to be able to cross in order for basic functions to continue, like medical services and food delivery.
