Skoolie Friends
« on: August 24, 2021, 07:18:09 AM »
I want to hear about some Skoolie travels.

I would also love to see some pictures of your Skoolie friends.

I'll go first.

Buslivin and Corps_of_absurdity took a trip from Richmondville to the Adirondack Mountains to visit another Skoolie friend Dack_The_Bus. (Pictured Below). We spent five days hiking, booze cruising, playing music by the fire, and learning all about this magical place.

What is your favorite trip ever taken and who did you go with?  Make sure to share a picture if you have one!

We are in Missouri and went to Rolla ( RA-lla) MO and did grocery shopping at Walmart and then to the gym PF there. At WM we see in the parking lot a Blue with white top and a big shark fin on top dog nose schoolie with one red Jeep on a platform on the deck on the back and another Jeep wrangler being toed a Green one. Went over to say hi but no one around.
So we go in to do our Landry in town and there is the Bus across the street. I left the wife off to get her hair cut and went into the laundry and the people from the bus came in.
I walked up and said is that your Bus outside and he said yes and I said well Hello Fellow Busnut. He laughed and I opened the pictures on my phone and show him ours and that started 3 hours of talking Bus and touring their Bus and found that they had been in MI at the rally in UP and saw you Sandra and your kids there etc. They were heading to another rally in Hartsville, MO that started tonight. We wished them safe travels and then passed them at the 44 fudge factory lol honked and waved and headed home to our Bus. What fun and how creative Travis' Bus was. He cut the back of the bus out and he drives the one jeep up ramps to the top of it. Would of taken pictures but was so interesting forgot to, LOL :^
And we loved their shirt they were wearing that had a Honey comb and the words Schoolie Sworm across it.

Ah yes, I remember meeting them. I got to tour inside their bus.

Thank you for sharing that fantastic Bus Nut story.  That is often how it works with us Bus Nuts, we can talk for hours.  Some of my favorite connections are fellow bus people.

I hope to get their story published in the magazine. They have a very interesting story to tell from that great build to their travels and hosting of the Swarm.

I missed being at the Swarm in the Ozarks but am 100% trying to get to SkooliePalooza in Parker, AZ.

I hope to see some friends there!  :^ :^
Dave, see you on the road!!
