Repairs you wish you'd made - so easy!

Good evening bus folks!

Over the years there have been a number of repairs which I didn't do anything about because I thought it would be too difficult - but when after years of putting them off - it turns out they were EASY!  Years of wasted grousing and complaining. 

Wondering if others have found the same to be true?  Sometimes the repairs seem like nothing can be done.   Until you try and it turns out you wished the job had been taken care of years ago. The reason I ask - I'd like to find other simple quick-fixes or repairs.  Maybe something else myself or others in the group have been putting off for no good reason?! 

Examples: 
MC9 turn signals not popping back up. 
Fix: For less than $100 in parts - both signals are EZ to replace, a few screws holding a small pedestal and easy access to the switches.  Years of messing with them prior to the repair.

Noisy / rattles in the MC9/Moose bus (That would be Moose #001 - for Gary Hatt's edification)
Take the silly burner racks off the stove top before traveling.  Maybe the retaining clips are just missing?  Either way, Noise reduction by 50%  going down the road.  0$ cost

Put some window/door insulation where the wooden bathroom meets the door frame.  Noise reduction by another 30% while travelling  It's getting quite now!  0$ cost.  But years of complaining first!

Anything safety related I get on it fast. But the little agitating things... not so much.

On our 1953 4104 after over 40+ years of ownership after much chronic procrastination we finally restored all the weather stripping and sliding tracks on our big side sliding oem windows. It was extremely labor intensive including polishing all the massive aluminum frames but also extremely gratifying with no leaks, ie: water nor air and awesome ease of operation, the only one roof A/C we have now will cycle otr! And last & probably best was the penny's on the dollar it took in DIY substitute materials used to complete the fully successful restoration. Looking back - what took me so long to get past that?!

Correction, my Moose Creek Cabin bus was #001, and Phil's was #002.  I had the original.  I told the builder (Mike Kadletz) to tell Phil he bought #001 so he would pay more for it and he would think he had the original, and he still thinks that is true. Poor guy!

As they say, a picture is worth  ( attached )   It seems that every couple years I need to trot this picture out.,

 

But seriously - it'd be wonderful to see other quick fixes.  Too much of what I've done usually starts simple and ends up as a huge learning experience.

Well I do have this issue.  Rear window seals feel hard as a rock and not sealing.  Maybe I can get on that.  Or - should I wait just a few more months...
