Driverless trucks are rolling in Texas, ushering in new era
Joann Muller Axios 23Apr25

Drivers along a 200-mile stretch of I-45 between Dallas and Houston should get ready for something new: The semi-truck in the next lane might not have anyone in the driver's seat.
Why it matters: Autonomous trucking companies have been testing their fleets on Texas highways for several years, but always with backup safety drivers in the cab.

Now, one company, Aurora Innovation, says it plans to go completely driverless at the end of the month, a key milestone that promises to reshape the trucking industry...

How do I get a driverless bus driver?  I love sitting in the passenger seat and working on BCM while traveling down the road and having a cold beer at the same time.   ;D

I shot a show at Hoover Dam, first time I got to work with my son, that was for Mercedes Damiler. They brought every one from throughout the world to Las Vegas and then bussed them to the Dam. What they were introducing was a driverless 18 wheeler. But the Dam people wouldn't let them drive on the Dam without a driver behind the wheel. Kinda ruined the whole look, but the non driver was eating a hamburger and looking at his tablet...
