Ok, I'm confused...

Why are we all of a sudden bashing busnuts on this board?

Did I miss the memo?

craig

I wasn't bashing Paul, I was teasing him about his fishy.

I hope he didn't take it that I was being hateful, that was the farthest thing from my mind!

WOW. did not know I had insulted you!
Richard

and yes when mr drivingmisslazy insulted me but he later explained his intentions to me,it's hard to put feelings in words besides CAPS LOCK.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, a good Reisling in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming:  WOO HOO, what a ride

transmission oil boiled.....never have heard of that in a manual.

especially after you drove it cross country.

did they give you any idea of why.

I think I saw a post from Christy Hicks on the GM board not too long ago

so to satisfy tekebird,
i have my 06 getting a "new"transmission>
i messed it up by not keeping an closer eye to it,the hills might have killed it,i needed to pull a 22ft superheavy trailer across the rockies.after the rockies i got my trialer back( a 10by5 cargo trailer pretty empty besides my mountainbike and tools>
anyway i had no problems at all for the 12000 miles i drove besides the broken fuelpump in san antonio and the transmission.
off course there were dumb thing si did to the 06(running out of gas!!!) blown tire and my generator failing >
i am learning quick and i just found out what a dipstick is.
i am changing the primary ands secondary filter every 2000 miles,my 06 and me seem to be more comfortable with it>
need to fix the odometer though, also the fuelmeter is way off
anyway
going bikin g and bussing again in 4 weeks.
more stories while on the road and only on the busnut website because my blackberry only supprt that site(browser>????java script)

thanks to everybody>
and please tekebird explain to me what a dipstick is.

God I hope you are not serious?  On the Dipstick.

I would assume that your clutch would have let go before the entire transmission.

Did anyone adjust the clutch prior to you treking all of God's green and black earth?

Did you learn how to adjust the clutch?

Why are you changing fuel filters every 2000 miles?  Thats wasteful

he tekebird

the filters every 2000 miles
im just careful when going through the rockies
if it was flat all the time i would do it every 4000-6000 miles.
i have a profesional mechanic who knows about 2 stroke diesels do the repair for me(the mayor stuff)
i look and learn from it.
the clutch is fine and was fine after i had it all tuned up with my mechanci a few months ago.
we will swap the transmission out and see what we find along the way.
and misslazy
it's all good i dont know anybody personal here on this board so it's hard for me to feel any emotion when a stranger "insults me"
now if the comment was from a family or friend then i would be really offended

Ok Guy's,

We are running way off topic on this thread.... :o

* There are some members that come on board only when they need an answer to a question.

* There are some members that just lurk to educate themselves quietly.

* And there are members that enjoy helping others. [like me].  ;D  And, I'm glad we have a large group like me!  :o  Thanks All...
