Rubber bumper strip replacement?
« on: May 06, 2006, 08:11:52 PM »
Folks, I have removed all the rub rails, front and back bumpers and various other trim on my 9. All the body work is done and the rub rails look fantastic. I removed the old, and very heavy rubber bumpers and am looking for a more light weight and smaller rubber bumper. I saw a two inch D shape rubber bumper insert today on a new step van. Anyone have ideas for suppliers or another option to protect the corners and bumpers. ?

Thanks

Hello Grant,

Im sure you can do a search on rubber bumpers and find a retailer. Mabe try trucking, or utility trailers.

Another option would be to call R&M fiberglass, the sell a nice cap to cover your existing bumper!

Good luck-

Hi Grant,

Did you get this resolved?  Else, maybe a call to Rich @ International  Bus Parts (MAK Advertiser).

Hope this helps, Phil

I have found at least one vendor that has a d shaped rubber bumper that I can use. I am looking for something a little better looking than the 5 inch super heavy rubber bumper. Right now my best price is 13.00 per linear foot. I will keep looking.

Thanks for the follow up.
