Going to Az
« on: April 04, 2006, 08:04:12 AM »
Going to take a trip to Az last week of Apr and into May. Start at the bottom and work my way through Sedona, Grand Canyon and Zion.  Will be gone 17 days.  GEOFF- when did you move to Az from the Bay area? And where in AZ are you-Email me!  Might see some of you on the road-I'm driving my gray and white AMGeneral transit with 3 roof airs (to recognize it).  Being an old truck driver usually have my CB on 19.  Good Luck, TomC

Good Luck Tom!
Just remember to keep the sunnyside up!
And don't fall into the canyon.

Hi, Tom

You picked your trip dates at the same time I am having to go back to California!  That's too bad, because I live in Prescott, which is not too far to the west of your travel route.  It is also a very beautiful and interesting area to visit, including a historical downtown.  I moved to Arizona last summer, or I should say I started moving to AZ last summer-- I am still making occassional trips back and forth moving stuff with my bus and 20' trailer.  The reason I ended up moving here started innocently by going to the MAK Bus Gatherings at the Caverns and extending my travels all over Arizona.  I really like this state, and the area I moved to is 5,000 up so it avoids the extreme summer heat and has a mild winter.  You better be carefull-- you might get hooked like I did!

Prescott, huh?

Got a message a couple weeks ago from a nusnut there named Phil Smith. You know him? If not, I'll send you his address in case you want to get acquainted. Don't know what model bus he has.

TomC,

I'm going to be in Green Valley (Just south of Tucson) around 14th-17th of April and in Sun City West a couple of days later, then on to San Diego and then to Seattle via Bakersfield.

I'll probably be too far ahead of you but keep a lookout for a silver, red strips (Trailways colors) and white top 4104 just in case.

Hi TOM
I live in Cornville, AZ which is 15 miles from Sedona.  This is a pretty area.  I have a MCI 7 and am in the process of retireing, as soon as the house sells, and then I will be full timing it.

Tom, if you are in Zion you will have to get to Cedar Breaks and Bryce Canyon. I live in Cedar City at the base of Bryon Head Mountain. The Grand Circle is a wonderful place.>>>Dan 4106-1261 ( Glad to help anyway I can)
