You're doing just what I'm doing...the good news is that the only items which are voltage sensative are the 4 (providing you have both banks) electrically operated solenoids under the valve covers.  Everything else will fly at 24V.  :D

Depending on how quickly you need 'em any Detroit Diesel can get 'em for ya.

Hook them to one 12 volt battery. The jake brake is used for very short periods at a time and the coils draw little current.I assure you it will not hurt the batteries.

Another option is use the 12 volt from the house batteries. I run my headlites off the house batteries or gen start battery. It does not need to be the bus batteries . Any 12v will work.

Last post should read. My headlites run off of the house batteries , however ,the Jake could as well run off of Gen start battery.

Gary,
and others, One of the nice things about our new board is that if you make a mistake in your post, you can fix it.
Just look at the buttons up and to the right of your post and click on the one that says "modify". It will take you to the place where you can type your changes and repost.

I hope this helps with future problems.
