MCI-9 Shift Pad Needed
« on: November 21, 2007, 10:24:16 AM »
Hi Guys,

If you have been following my post "MCI-9 Transmission won't engage", then you may have read this.

I'm to the point that I need to make sure the Shift Pad is working.  It has voltage to it, but no lights.

Need to either buy or borrow a known working Allison Shift Pad, to replace mine.  My bus is a 1993.  Believe almost any year will work.  This pad has square button, R,N,D,3 on the left row, and blank, allison logo, 1,2 in the right row.

Thanks for the help, and have a nice Thanksgiving,

Bill

Try these folks: http://nimcobus.com/
I am not affiliated with them in any way.
They should have a pile of them.  :)

Guys,

Still haven't proven that it's the shift pad for sure.  Sammy sent me a spare that doesn't work in my bus.  I'd like to do one finale shift pad check.  Anyone out there with an MCI-9 automatic that would be willing to take my pad, test it in your bus.  This would prove once and for all if it's the shift pad.

Thanks for the help,

Bill
