John, I once had a law prof who said, "Who can sue? Anyone willing to spend $50." I guess that would include "those people". We would prefer to avoid the courts, but at all costs? I dunno. $2K isn't a lot, but it would sure buy some nice conversion goodies.

BTW, Jerry started this thread discussing product liability and we may have strayed a bit, but considering the safety issues, I was looking into that angle. It seems that the dealership is bound but the laws of N.B. to sell a safe product, as-is notwithstanding! (Apparently, they have some pretty stiff consumer law out East). But that doesn't make it any easier to resolve.
