The official Eagle Rally is Jan. 18/20.  I  am sure that some folks are going early.  We will be there tomorrow for a quick night stay and then on to Indio  for the FMCA show.  We will return for the rally (will be there a few days early).

I don't have the exact location for the rally, but we are going back to the "old"  location again this year which is on the south side of I10, east on the frontage road right where it turns south (all of this from a person whose mind is fried from fighting the wind and rain for 500 miles today - so don't hold me to the exact description).  I know that you can see the site easily as you approach Quartzsite from the east.

We left on this trip over a week late, so that I could get some projects done and now we have painted ourselves into a corner - what's new? ;D

We did not make it to Quartzsite on Monday, but as we drove through yesterday, I looked and the Eagles were not parked where the rally will be.  I hope they join our rally later this month.

We did make it to Indio and are trying to recover from a pretty rough trip with terrible wind and rain most of the way.

Ed, thanks for the offer.  We have some time between the rally and the big FMCA rally in Pomona.  Not sure how we will use the time, but would like to visit, even if briefly.

Don and I will be arriving at Quartzsite on the 18th. Of course, we'll be in his Country Coach since my Eagle has no interior. I'm looking forward to seeing all the Eagles and getting ideas and learning from folks who have already done it.

But you make it so easy in that ole stick n' staple that you drive!  ;D ;) ;D

You know I'm just teasing you. That Country Coach is more bus than most of us will probably ever have... Besides, it's my ride to Quartzsite so I certainly wouldn't pick on it!

Who is in Quartzsite now??? I have been here since Friday. I am in my semi so I am parked at the pilot. I was down in Yuma from the 7th until the 10th late. It's hard to locate you guys and /or gals out here. I don't know if we will make the rally due to freight. If I can, I will be there...just don't be upset that I will have a 5th wheel ;D!!!

We went there for a few days right after christmas but had to leave because of a death in the family. Maybe next year we will be able to make it! We were the only ones there but the office guys said lots were coming!

Ron,
You should have swung by Minnesota to see how nice the MC-5 tucks into the shed as long as you were out driving!

Just a quick update.  There are a 30 Eagles and couple of other buses plus a few motorhomes at the rally.  Probably a few more will show up today (Friday).

We are at the far east end of the service road on the south side of I10.

If you are in the area, come see us.

Jim

Forgot to add that the GMC and Flxible groups are in an area south of I10 on the service road and just east of 95.  Some neat buses in those groups, especially the Flxibles!
