Sorry Florida...
« on: February 26, 2008, 04:15:57 PM »
OOPS, I think my hitch caught the extention cord that powers Florida when I left and caused an outage..... Sorry!

We did leave Fl a little heavier then we entered by comming home with a new puppy. [Winston]

Overall, it was another real good trip. Visited Family and Friends, Made alot of new Friends, and enjoyed good warm weather.

The bus didn't miss a beat, only burned 2 quarts of oil, but spent 1200.00 in fuel.... ahh, still not too bad! I did loose my speedo on the

way home but I use my gps anyway. We also didn't spend as much money as we thought we would! Can you believe we still came home with $$$.. :o

Well, here are some pics..

I figured I'd get the blame for the power outage lol, my table saw can be a power hog some times.  Sure was nice meeting you guys, hopefully our paths will cross now and then, glad you had a good time.

Nick-

Nick,

It wasn't just the extension cord....It was the massive over rev on the power companys turbines when you unplugged your coach.... ;D  :P

Glad you all made it home, safe and sound.

Well, not sure which is cuter, the kid or the dog.

Looks like a great vacation place, how much was that a night?

Hi Jim,

Per night was less then half the price of going to the parks in the Key's about $72.00 per nite. Fair if you ask me!

Can't beat Florida this time of year. We are at the Bluewater Keys Rv Resort 10 miles from Key West (bluewaterkey.net). The price is high at $130+ per night, but man, what a great place to be. We are at site 69, which is right on the water. Complete with tiki hut and dock on our site. Sure beats the record snow back in Michigan. Our Grandaughters are even impressed. Too bad spring break only lasts one week.

There are about 8 newer Prevosts which make our 1990 look pretty bad, but that's okay. Too bad we're only here for 3 more days.

Hi Nick,Your right, it is all good.

Our site was $150 per night. But our fuel cost is over $1000 each way. Ouch. But why have a bus if you can't enjoy it.

Last year we also went to Fort Wilderness. We also enjoyed it.

John

P.S. We lost power today, now I know who to blame. :D
