JR her fiddle stays pretty tuned up although she still practices when she can!

By the way, when and if you register for Arcadia, make sure you ask to be near the BG tent! Last year Jack kind of kept everyone close that played or at least attempted to play!   ::)

Ace

"Attempted to play" is about what we do.  But we do a good imitation of real musicians!  ;)
Regarding the BG tent...does it have hookups?  I'm a big fan of full hookups.

JR,
THe BG tent is on the other side of the fence that is behind the 50 amp sites. Ace brings a long extension cord to run through the fence to his electric connection.  Jack

Yep.  Getting close!
Herb Spurlock stopped by the store today...he indicated that he and Gene Lewis will be arriving on Wednesday.
Gene's going to need a little assistance with his freshwater plumbing.   I'll bring the PEX 1/2" ring squeezer.   Not sure what material Gene plans to use for repair??
Where's Palmetto Cove's  nearest plumbing supply or Lowes..or HD?
I'll be over on Thursday...
See ya, JR

Greer has a Lowes & across the street is a HD & ~45 minutes away (30 miles).

I know the lowes store has the pex fittings & squeeze rings.

Yeah, IF he brings the Kronies!   ;D  Otherwise Bob's relegated to the 'worker' identity.  Bob will fit very nicely inside Gene's bay... >:(
He works pretty good.
Sometimes I need a little direction....been known to get the can upside-down...can't open'em like that!  ;)   Senility is hell.   ;D
Herb was by and sez that Gene's coming over on Wed.
I'll try to see what Gene has in mind.  With the distance to most plumbing supply houses, I'll suggest that he map out what he want and bring a few supplies.  I'm gonna recommend PEX, but PEX isn't easy to work with in really tight areas.
We could make up a complete system for the utility bay and install it as a unit.   Or use ABS and glue it up.  As long as it's dry, it'll work well.   That appears to be what happened with the initial install.   Maybe water in the system, or the dope wasn't used in suitable dollups.
In any event about half of the connecters in the system could be eliminated and the system still work.
Got the PEX crimpers in the bus.
We were in Brevard last weekend and saw a nice Prevost parked next to a home on the road that goes to the music thingy just outside of Brevard....Probolt street?  or some such.    Ned you oughta know who owns a nice bus like that?
Hi to Wilma!
Jon and Kyle, thanks for the store location...we'll probably make several runs....I've never done such a project without the inevitable 'runs' to the store!
I just had a thought....Jack's going to be there...right?   SEMINAR TIME!  Related to proper plumbing methods!!!  Gene's bringing the project bus!   :D ;D :)
BTW, if anyone needs a Bluegrass fix...we'll be at Denton, NC which offers a good program and ample parking with power and water, the week before Kyle's Non-Rally....come'on over.   Anyone  in the area is welcome to follow me home, plug up to power and water, and rest until the Non-Rally gets going!   I can park maybe.....20 buses out here?   No problemo!  :)
I was talking to Bill Haga tonight and he was asking about "Texas Dude" and Coffee the dog....anyone heard from them recently?  Seems to have disappeared?   ???
See ya'll up on Thursday....JR  8)

Thanks Jon....for reminding me.  Kyle's 'storm' is going to visit us at Denton this weekend...BUMMER!   I pulled the bus out of the barn tonight and parked it up by our home.  Just in case Kyle arrives a little early.  I'm leaving for Denton on Thursday morning...rain's supposed to begin on Thursday morning!  I hope hurricane 'Kyle' has moved on by Oct weekend.   ???
I won't wash the bus....yeah.  Now I feel better.    :P
Getting the bus out is garunteed to make rain.  The farmers oughta be paying me to go camping!
Two years ago, at the Denton Mother's Day weekend it rained 4" in about 3 hours.  T and I were just fine sitting in the bus and wasting time.  No leaks...no problems.   Our two other members of our group had water damage from leaking windows in their S&S.   One of the leakers was a $200K Itasca Meridian.  Kitchen side window leaked.   Major Bummer!  That Itasca has been in the shop more than on the road.  Oh well.  My day's a'coming.  I oughta quit screwing with the bus-gods.
Rain takes the edge off of bluegrass festivals.   At least I'm parking on an all weather site.  We park in the Vendor area.  This is good.  The Vendor wall isn't available during the Old Time Thresher's Reunion, but 3 of us have it reserved for all the bluegrass shows.
We're looking forward to Palmetto Cove weekend!
I spoke with Francis Lewis and Herb Spurlock and they indicated they'll be over on Wednesday.
Anyone heard from Cliff or NCBob?  The Lang's?   You get Dave and Gene together and there's going to be some GOOD eats!
That reminds me, I'm bringing a 5' octagonal table...I don't have any awnings other than what's attached to the bus.
Are any foodstuffs--or any other items needed?
Glad we use diesel fuel....the bus has a full tank of fuel....but around here, gasoline is getting more and more scarce??   Better than half of our gasoline suppliers are bagged.  When are the refiners going back to work?  Doesn't seem to be much news on this subject?!

See ya'll Thursday!   JR   ;D

OK, I plan on being there on Wed afternoon.

Kyle if U need some good old ]“Eastern NC chopped BBQ” then I will BBQ a shoulder for the event.   Let me know please.

I also have a 10 X 10 pop-up canopy and a 2 X 6 table if needed.

As for me having a project bus mine is a work in progress and I ain't proud and I know I can learn something.  We'll see.

Looking forward to the rally.

Enjoying the journey,

Gene

I will have a few copies of an out of print book Encyclopedia of Busses and some copies of the Operating Manual for the GM Model PD-4107 if anyone is interested.

There ain't NEVER been too much BBQ!  8)  8)  8)

Ed is bringing some boston butts.

Gene, If you bring a shoulder, I'm sure no one will complain! (but if you don't . . . . . )  ;D

BTW, at least the work is progressing on your bus, unlike mine . . . .

The pop-up canopies will be GREAT! Won't have to worry about excessive humidity.  :o
The tables make the ants work harder. . .  ;D

OH, I'm gonna bring the bread (buns & sliced) too.

Vern will bring the water bottle rocket launcher, so, kids, bring plenty of 2 liter bottles . . . .
