In the United States, the number of digital nomads is projected to rise to approximately 18.1 million in 2025, up from 17.3 million in 2024. This growth reflects the increasing adoption of remote work and flexible lifestyles among Americans. Many are converting their own vehicles with layouts that best suit their lifestyle.

Cookie-cutter factory-built RVs are designed for the masses and are intended for occasional vacations, and are built to last only a few years. Most spend many months each year in storage. In contrast, many DIY conversions are designed for full-time living, tailored to suit a particular lifestyle, such as with a large office, a photography studio, or a craft area.

Many, if constructed properly, will last for several years and can travel well over 100,000 miles; many over-the-road coaches can easily exceed a million miles or more if properly maintained.

BCM is dedicated to individuals who want to work on the go and enjoy a life of travel and the outdoors. It is for parents interested in traveling and homeschooling their children, as well as retirees who wish to travel, visit their children and grandchildren, and enjoy warmer climates year-round. It may be a van, truck, trailer, or any vehicle best suited for each person’s individual needs and budget. From the simplicity of a budget-friendly converted van to a 45-foot-long coach with all the amenities of home, we have you covered.

BCM provides the knowledge on how to establish a lifestyle suited just for you, allowing each individual to enjoy a different view of the outdoors as often as they like. Today, with the abundance of internet connectivity and Starlink, everyone can stay connected with friends and business customers from anywhere in the world while traveling. With remote work, you can set your own schedule while working and enjoying the fresh air of the outdoors, while traveling and seeing the world.

BCM is for parents who want to homeschool their children while allowing them to experience the world and visit the historic landmarks, and state and national parks around the country. Children learn a great deal from books, but experiencing the destinations in person is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Your children will be more well-rounded if they experience what others only read about in a classroom environment.

BCM is for retirees who want to travel and enjoy life while visiting friends, parents, children, and grandchildren, sharing the experience with them and having the freedom to travel to and live in the best geographical climate all year. They want to be comfortable but mobile, and feel at home wherever they are.

For the young and old who want to simplify their life, reduce expenses, and have the ability and the freedom to travel the world, BCM will teach you how to live the dream. Many people can cut costs by living in a self-converted vehicle and also afford to travel abroad to and experience other countries.

Bottom line, BCM will teach you how to live the life many people only dream of. Each month, we feature an article showcasing someone’s DIY RV conversion, including photos, specifications, and unique features, as well as the people behind it. We will show you pictures of how they converted their vehicles and provide tips and techniques on what works best for them, as well as what does not work. Learning from other people’s mistakes may save you thousands of dollars in the long run when converting your own RV.

There are articles on the safe use and maintenance of these tiny homes on wheels, as well as tips for buying, selling, or selecting a vehicle for converting into an RV. We also feature travel stories from people sharing information and photos of great travel destinations.

We have a very active online Forum that exceeds 60 million page views per year, where owners of all experience levels discuss their conversions. Have a question about your conversion? Post it on our Forum and you will get answers very quickly.

We offer several e-books that cover everything you need to know about converting a vehicle, including wiring, plumbing, floor plans, cabinet making, and more, all included with your membership.
