The Eagle Palooza Rally 2024 was a Huge Success!
This was our first Eagle exclusive rally at our generous host site, All Access Coach (AAC) Leasing, in Gallatin, Tennessee. Eric Blankenship and Jim Borelli, owners of AAC, not only helped us every step of the way but also gave all the attendees tours of their maintenance facility and interior shop and gave away shirts, caps, coffee mugs, and other AAC swag.
We had 30 Eagles signed up, with about 25 showing up; a few had to cancel for personal reasons, which is totally understandable. We also had somewhere between 40-50 people, maybe more, show up without an Eagle bus that enjoyed looking over the Eagles in attendance. We had Eagles from the '60s, '70s, '80s, and '90s, some beautiful machines, for sure. Seeing what everyone has done to their Eagles is always a pleasure. People benefited and came away with new ideas they could implement into their Eagles.
The venue at AAC worked out perfectly, as they have a bus wash facility, dump station, water, and shore power available on site. It was a gated parking lot, well-lit with security cameras throughout, and the local police department made regular rounds to check on us all. Gallatin is a very safe place to begin with, but it is always nice to know the local community is looking out for all of us. (Personally, I think they just wanted to see all of our beautiful Eagle buses.)
We had some people who sold Eagle memorabilia and some who purchased Eagle parts from AAC's inventory, a great source. There were also a few Eagle buses for sale at the event, which was neat since so many of us could help you look them over and make an informed decision whether to purchase or not.
One of the most incredible things was seeing that everyone enjoyed themselves, got along, and made many new friends. Contacts and networking are what it is all about in our Eagle community. We are very thankful for the new friendships. So many people know each other through social media, but now, they have met face to face. There is something special about shaking someone's hand and talking to them in person.
We had some last-minute entertainment plans fall through. However, we are already planning next year's event at the same location, which will have live entertainment, some planned meals, and a van to take the ladies shopping or lunch and take a break from the boys talking about Eagle buses all day. The exact dates will be announced soon, but it will be towards the end of July 2025. Check this page occasionally for all Eagle Rally information. https://www.busconversionmagazine.com/events/
Again, we would like to thank All Access Coach for their generosity in hosting our rally/event and for subscribing to help us all keep Eagle's history alive and well! More importantly, thank you to all the people who were able to attend with their Eagles or without and make Eagle Palooza a success!
We hope to see you all again next year!

Below are some photos from this great event.

Daniel started in the bus industry back in 1976 when his parents purchased a school bus operation which included one motor coach in Minnesota.
Around 1979 the family expanded the operation of motor coaches, choosing to operate Eagles, their motor coach of choice.
In March of 1986, Daniel was offered a job working for Eagle International's production facility in Brownsville, Texas as their Customer Service and Warranty Coordinator. He progressed into other positions such as Field Service Technician/Trainer, Quality Control Manager and lastly Production Manager.
Daniel has a Facebook group called "Silver Eagle Bus" https://www.facebook.com/groups/silvereaglebus/ that has grown to 11,500 members, keeping the history of the Eagle buses alive and well.
Daniel also enjoys traveling worldwide with his life partner, Elvira, from Germany. Elvira supports the passion for the bus industry that Daniel grew up with; a great match for sure. Just as important is spending time with his Daughter Ashley, along with her Husband Nick, and their little puppy Basil.
