You are looking at a 1950 Marmon-Herrington Motor Home. I could not find a VIN number anywhere on the unit so I titled it in South Carolina with the engine number that is clearly visible. This unit is powered by a 671 Detroit Turbo Diesel engine with a Jake-brake. The engine is mounted in the middle of the bus under the kitchen cabinets. Marmon-Herrington bullt buses and trolley cars. I have only found one other Marmon-Herrington motor home on the internet. This Motor Home does not appear to me like it was a converted bus. We have had the engine running several times and the engine sounds GREAT. We have not driven it. It has 20 inch Dayton rims on one end and Budd wheels on the other end. The tires are up and holding air but are weather cracked. I do have several new tires that come with it. It is certainly old school inside and would be a GREAT restoration project. I got it where it had been stored in a storage facility near Asheville, North Carolina, however, it has a Colorado license plate on the rear. I will almost guarantee you that you will not meet another one in a camp ground. The body is as straight as an arrow. The only bent place that I have seen on it anywhere is the bottom half of the front bumper. Look the pictures over and let me know what I can do to make this very rare Motor Home yours. Call me, Ron, at 864 313 2908.
