Current IL RV title in my name and RV plates. Current insurance. Turn key ready to go. Extensive mechanical, interior and exterior refurbishment by me, all since 2020. Stored inside during the winter. Current weight is 17,880 pounds—that is very light for any 4106.

EXTERIOR

Removed roof A/C’s, patched and sealed properly, coated entire roof with Henry’s white. Roof has 2 functional vents.

Painted exterior with period correct color scheme. Coach has original Greyhound emblem on front (rare, as I believe these were to be removed before selling, it was covered by a plate). All exterior lights work. All tailgate lights are new LED, reverse lights added and very functional. All bay doors operate properly and have matched key locks on luggage bays. Front bumper operates properly to access spare tire.

INTERIOR

Set-up as a minimalistic touring/ camping bus. 4 swivel, reclining captains chairs, front leather, back fabric, from a Toyota Sienna. Very nice swivel, sliding, locking bases. 1 two-seat bench from a Ford transit. All seats have belts. Additional seating on the rear bench/ futon. Futon turns into a bed with the custom folding base. Built-in storage shelves, open and light. Sink/ counter with foot pump faucet and 5 gal fresh, 5 gal gray containers. Single 120v circuit to plug into campground for device charging, coffee maker, whatever. Pine plank floor, insulated walls with sheet metal skin, insulated ceiling with pine T&G. Open, airy, clean.

ENGINE/ TRANS

6V92T Silver Series, year (1993 on oil cooler casting)and mileage unknown. Starts easy with a single D battery, runs strong, no known issues. Air throttle works as it should. Oil and filter changed recently. V730 trans, cable shifter, oil cooler. Oil, filter, pan gasket changed recently. Shifts up and down as it should. New, upgraded radiator core in factory frame and top/bottom tanks (size and fit is exact OEM). Engine/trans was removed from bus for inspection, removed from cradle, cradle inspected and refinished. Bulkhead and mounting points all inspected, cleaned, painted. Reinstalled with new motor mounts and hardware. Jakes.

New brake cans front, new spring brakes added to rear. All brakes have new pads and hardware. All rubber air hoses replaced. Rear drums turned. Rear wheel studs inner, outer, and nuts all new. All airbags new, new mounting plates in rear, new level valves. Wet and dry air tanks removed, inspected, epoxy coated. New drain valve. New shocks and bump stops. New PS hoses front and rear, PS pump rebuilt

ELECTRICAL

All original wiring, switches, terminal blocks have been replaced. Two 10-conductor SO cords are run front to back, along with a separate 10 ga. Ground wire. All gauges new from Diesel Pro Power. All battery cables new, and ground cable added direct to starter. Original voltage regulator works as it should. Original battery disconnect switch works as it should.

1976 MCI 8  I  am the 2nd owner since conversion. Converted by Customized Land Yachts in S Windham, ME. All oak cabinets, rooftop AC units, new plumbing. Wrico Generator, Fresh 8V71 with 0 miles on it. All new front end and air bags work done by US Coach in Vineland NJ. Rubber has about 5000 miles. Runs and handles good and is a real nice coach. The clear coat on the paint is peeling and could stand some attention.

The reason I am selling this bus is because I don't need two buses.

1967 Silver Eagle Bus Conversion. This a “model 01” upgraded to “model 20” exterior.
Converted in 2002 to an extremely high standard. The roof was raised 7” and all of the exterior skin/sheetmetal/bumpers/roof/glass were replaced with new and updated parts. There are no dents anywhere and all of the compartment doors are side hinged.

A 500 HP electronically controlled series 60 Detroit Diesel/Allison 4-speed auto trans replaces the original 8V71/manual. It has a 12 kW Yanmar diesel powered generator, 5 AC units (2 basement, 2 low profile roof-top and 1 dashboard, all ice cold), a 20 gallon electric water heater, gas furnace, gas stove, double fridge/freezer combo (gas or electric), fully tiled shower, full size toilet, queen bed, fold-out sofa, two TVs, satellite TV system, AM/FM stereo.

There are two (2) fuel tanks (150 and 55 gallon) with transfer pumps, 2 propane tanks with automatic switching, 100 gallon waste tank (gray and black combined), airbags assist rear suspension, electric leveling jacks, cruise control, Jake brakes, backup camera, $20k paint job is still spectacular as are the polished alloy wheels.

Only 55k miles added since the conversion. Always (and still) stored indoors.
This bus shows spectacular. Starts right up and idles smoothly. Goes up hills like they’re not even there even when towing a car (car tow rig included but may need to be adapted to your towed vehicle)
Currently registered and insured in California. Can be seen in Concord, CA by appointment.
Delivery can be arranged at buyers cost to anywhere in the USA.

  • This bus conversion was recently driven by a professional driver who has many years of experience with these buses. With the exception of needing a clutch adjustment, this bus runs strong.
  • The bus cold started faster than I could activate my phone's video button.
  • There was hardly any smoke and came to idle strong in both modes.
  • There is a 4-speed crash box transmission
  • This bus has good brakes, tight steering, smooth level ride, and after not being run for a couple of months still had air.
  • There are good tires that would surely make it to delivery.
  • A new windshield and driver's side window were installed.
  • There are also a lot of extra parts including a muffler.
  • Also includes the services and parts manuals.

Item Description:

  • This is a very unique Eagle.
  • It is rust free bus and has many upgrades and is ready for someone to put their own personal touches into finishing it.
  • It has had a lot of exterior work done and is ready for the interior to be completed and a new coat of paint applied to the exterior.
  • The Bus has been widened and lengthened and has a Cummins engine installed, it looks to be a Big Cam 400.
  • The suspension has airbags added in both the front and rear as well as power steering.
  • It has new siding all around and the roof has been raised.
  • It also has new windows still in its crates and large fresh, grey, and blackwater holding tanks ready to be installed and plumbed in.
  • It has a new Wrico 12.5KW Generator installed
  • The interior has been spray foamed and lined with plywood.
  • Holes have been cut in the ceiling and it has been wired for A/C and Fantastic or Maxx Fans.
  • This is a must-see for anyone looking for an awesome 45’ Eagle to finish the build out their own way as this is a clean slate with many opportunities.
  • This bus has also been stored inside since the conversion was started so it is in very nice condition.

All this bus needs is someone to finish the interior the way you want it and it will make someone a great bus conversion for years to come. The owner passed away and we need this bus gone from the storage building to make room for new tenants.
