Military engines use a single electric solenoid for shut down but they are all 24V, Parker make dozens of electric over air for shutdowns that will work with your shut down cylinder you don't need to pay the money for a skinner valve,I have one of the Kysor/ Cadillac all in 1 air and electric shut downs some place they were used on fire trucks,I don't think you can buy that style any longer should a photo of it here some where ,here is a photo of what one looks fits in place of cylinder on top of the governor, hot wire to the top and air line underneath the hot wire you need a momentary switch for it to work ,no skinner valve involved with it
