In February 2024, the author purchased a meticulously restored Eagle bus originally converted over 14 years ago. The bus, which the previous owner enjoyed for only three years before his passing, features extensive upgrades, including a raised roof, re-engineered bay doors, and a hydraulic slide for increased interior space. The exterior boasts modern riveted and fiberglass work, a custom paint job, and classic hotrod elements.

It has a 1990 Series 60 Detroit Diesel engine with a new Allison transmission, recently modified for high performance and reliability. The bus includes numerous upgrades such as a hydraulic fan system, power steering, automatic leveling jacks, and larger tires. The interior was recently updated with modern amenities, including new oak cabinetry, a large TV, and high-efficiency cooling and heating systems.

The bus performs well on the road, averaging over 8 MPG and capable of nearly 1,200 miles per tank. It has been stored indoors, maintaining its excellent condition. The owner, who has previously owned several bus conversions, considers this Eagle the best of all and looks forward to enjoying it with his wife.  After owning several buses, he plans on keeping this one for a long time.
