This article chronicles the adventurous journey of Jaja, her husband Martin, and their dog Yoda as they transform a 2004 MCI J4500 Coach into their home on wheels, dubbed Jajadabus. Born out of a desire for freedom during the COVID-19 pandemic, their project took 18 months, focusing on comfort and sustainability.

The couple shares insights on their bus conversion, highlighting design challenges, efficient living with solar panels, and the joys of life on the road. As they navigate the diverse landscapes of Central and South America, they embrace a minimalist lifestyle, build community connections, and reflect on the lessons learned through both challenges and rewards. Wow!   I wonder how they get servicing and repairs outside the USA in countries where MCI has never sold buses?   Even in Mexico it's rare to see any MCIs:  the European brands (Mercedes, MAN, Scania, Volvo) are dominant there, and that's in USA's neighbor.   I also wonder how much it cost to be shipped around the Darien Gap!
