called off
« on: May 18, 2009, 03:31:39 PM »
Our trip to Myrtle Bch has been called off as is any trip north this coming weekend thanks to Fed Ex where Susan gets a check from. I was packed, ready and just waiting to leave but it appears the division that Susan works out of is having their present president who is retiring, replaced and with another big cheese already on vacation, she was asked (more like told) to change her plans to make it look good that at least ONE big cheese was here to greet him and show him around. She also was awarded a few more employees to look over in another dept that she has never met and that has to be finalized by the end of the month. So's with all that happening and to save her from NOT getting a check, which large companies seem to look for reasons not to give them out, she thought that was more important AT THIS TIME, to stay home and work. She still might take Friday off so we can make a trip south in the bus with John Silver of Central Fl Bus Repair who asked us to join them at a rv park to fill in a spot where his dad skipped out of! He went North and left John with 2 empty spaces that were reserved. Now they are filled and every one wins!
Bummer one way, but not the other!
Oh well, it seemed to work itself out!

Man, what a disappointment Ace. I am sorry to hear that you can't make it. The check does help keep the bus going though ;D ;D ;D.

God bless,

John

WELL...sorry y'all can't make it...I do understand the work thing.   ???
So far, our big race week has had wind, rain, and very cold weather.  More to come tonight...about 40* sez the weatherman.  No problem for bus owners, but there's a good many race campers that are not having fun yet.
See you and Susan one of these days!   JR

The hell with the rain and the 14 inches so far it has dropped. We were loaded and decided to leave. We waited in a small town for John to arrive and when he blasted by yelling on his CB, we pulled out and followed him into a really nice, clean park called Riverside RV Resort located in Arcadia Fl.
Hi Jack! :)

Just got here and yep, more rain! Oh well, we'll make the best of it!

Send some of that rain our way, but just not this weekend.  We are down more than 10 inches over the past year and down a half inch or inch this month so far.  We are already seeing some drought conditions.

I tried to use a pet anchor two or three weeks ago, but the ground was so hard from lack of rain that it just pulled right out after I augered it in.

Ace,

We decided to head out for the weekend also, rain or not.  Had 16" in my rain gage.

Ended up at Elite Resorts in Crystal River. (Formerly Rock Crusher Canyon RVP)

First trip here and looks like a repeat stop already.

Have a Dry weekend.......... ;D

Cliff we stay at Elite Resorts in Salt Springs and love it! If its half as good, I'm sure you will like it!
We found another thru our friends from Central Florida Bus Repair where we are at now. Its Riverside RV Resort in Arcadia! VERY nice, clean, open, and camper friendly! Only down fall is for most is you can't use a golf cart but we don't mind! Were camped close to it all plus walking is one of my past times! LOL
Its cool to walk out on one of the many piers going over the river to see manatees although none spotted YET! Plenty of small wildlife like armadillas, rabbits, birds, etc.!
Whoops, gotta run, breakfast!
Oh yea, last night was a blast as we all went to "Navigators" which is a whole new thread! Can't wait to go back for 1.00 hot dogs and no panties Thursday! LOL DON'T ask! :)
