Rarely do I drive after dark, but the few times I have I sure wish I could see better and its the end of the day and I'm probably tired, etc. SO really the question is can I find suitable replacements in a 24 volt version to minimize the other work required to make the change. I am definitely going to make a change. I like the sounds of the European bulbs/fixtures.

Regarding the look of the MC-5; mine has totally been reskinned, roof raised with caps front and rear so it doesn't look anything like an MC-5 anymore except for the stainless bumper and stainless plate across the front between the headlights.

Thanks for all the information!

Fred, I've refrained just as long as I can...

Maybe the dim lights are a fig newton of your imitation and the real problem is that you are, well, ummm, .... old?
