Bus parking in Atlanta
« on: August 08, 2006, 04:50:55 PM »
We are flying to California for a week, from Atlanta Hartsfield. Looking for recommendations for a place to park Odyssey for a week while we are gone. Easy access to transit to the airport would be a plus.

Drop me a note or post your recommendations here. Thanks!

Sean, welcome aboard! I've missed those excellent posts you've written in the past, esp. on all things electrical.

You might try some of the comm'l. lots around the airport. Sometimes they park the shuttle busses there, and you could see if they'd cut you a deal for Odyssey. We stayed downtown in San Diego last summer for four days, and just paid for two spaces a day by the convention center.  We called ahead and spoke with the manager about it and it worked out great.

Brian,

Thanks for the shout-out, and the suggestion.

Even though my avatar says I'm a "newbie", I've actually been lurking on the "new" version of the board since early in the beta testing -- I hold user number 36.  (I see you are an even 500 above that, at 536, but some people change avatars, and buses, more often than I change air filters ;-)  But, you're right, I haven't posted much (the system says four times, including this one) since the new system went online.

I guess I just got "posted out"  -- seems like I was writing the same things over and over again.  With the new board's archival features, all the good advice stays around for future "newbies" to read, so there's not much point in me posting all my old diatribes about electrical safety and yada yada...  (I do continue to rant, though, in our travel blog at http://OurOdyssey.BlogSpot.com).

Between here and BNO I have received two suggestions for Atlanta parking, which I will follow up on this week.  Keep the suggestions rolling in, folks!

Cannot help you with Atlanta parking, however, if ever in Charlotte, NC, I could.  Plenty of secure parking here.  Less than 15 minutes from I-485...in a coach.
