What Bryan, First you get a GMC, now you have an Eagle, and your looking at a Prevost.  That's three buses in less than 6 months.  You my friend, are a real horse trader.  LOL

Everything after and including 1985 is 102 wide

XL is Roman numeral for 40ft, XLV...45

Someone needs to study the Roman numbers they confuse me the XL is also a 45 ft  X is 10 or 10,000 L is 50 or 50,000, think you will find out the XL and XL II stands for extra luxury in the Prevost in 40 and 45  models FWIW I always thought the XL II was the 45 footer I don't think Roman numbers have anything to do with the Prevost models

Correct - therefore XL is 40 (10 less than 50)

I believe that XXXX may also a valid way of expressing 40, as some clock faces have IIII rather than IV

Yeah, and XXX is the number thirty.  I guess that means that those movies go on for 30 minutes.

And all these years my wife had me convinced that XXX meant 30 seconds (bummer) :o

Up to 99 the 45ers were the XLV and the 40s were the XL. I assumed that was roman for 45 & 40. What is the correct roman numerals for 45 & 40 if those aren't?

In 2000 when they went away with the rivets and started glueing the stainless on they changed the name of the 45ers from the XLV to XLII.

All H-3's that leave the factory as a motorhome shell have the VIP designation.

What was the last year they produced a 40 ft shell for motorhome conversion? 2000?

Joe, I told you Roman numbers confuse me but for fwiw I have a friend that has 1999 XlII with glued on siding and the windows without all the rivets that is one of the things I disliked about my 1996 was all the rivets around the windows.
I do know about the VIP on the H series I have 2002 Featherlite I bought for resale from Newell at the moment I have it leased to a German couple for 4 months I am not impressed with a Featherlite conversion they are a little ruff around the edges but they like it.So now how do translate X3-45 I know it is a 45 footer
