I don't think there is any sales tax in OR. May be one reason. What is 6 or 7 percent of a million bucks or so! ???

No sales tax in Oregon. My '67 MCI 5A (35') costs a little over $300 every two years to tag. I live in Colorado now but I maintain a permanent address in Oregon.

Here's a lively thread over on rv.net about the subject.... concensus seemed it was too risky and/or too expen$ive for non-permanent residents.

I just registered my MC7 a couple of months ago. I hadn't started the conversion at that point bus was able to register it as a RV and it was a flat $75 here in Washington. Have not priced insurance yet.
