On our way home today after a week out. It seemed the bus had alot more vibration than before the last town. I even asked the wife if she thought so... Long story short... BANG no more driveline. Called Coach Net. After several calls back and forth nobody could tow it before tomorrow afternoon or Monday. They set us up with Stewart & Stevenson as a repair facility complete with power and we could stay in the coach. IF we could get there. I suggested maybe a service truck could effect a repair. They confirmed someone was on the way, called in a bit to see if help was there, (not yet), then called the service truck and called back with an ETA. The service guys got it back on the road in about two hours. Coach Net payed for the service call + miles and we paid for the parts and labor. No deal but fair.
As far as I'm concerned it was first class service from everyone involved @ Coach Net.
The service guys told me they have had lots of dealings with Coach Net and that they are one of the best.
He even said that they get paid within 10 days. I'm impressed.
We aren't really fully repaired but I think the repairs will get me home. 1 of the "flanges" on the driveline is bent, the input seal on the drop box is not sealing very well anymore, an inner wheel seal is leaking fairly bad, the ujoints took a beating from the vibration and one of the airbags got slightly damaged. All in all not too bad for loosing/dropping the driveline @75 MPH.
